Maria Menounos is no stranger to wearing designer gowns. After all, it is part of her job.

As someone who has spent many awards shows in front of the camera interviewing celebs, it's hard to recall every last red carpet moment. So what makes this year's Oscars memorable for Maria?

Not only is her dress going to be a one-of-a-kind Christian Siriano creation, it also has a charitable message that will shed light on the global water crisis. Siriano designed the dress in support of Stella Artois and Water.org's "Buy A Lady A Drink" campaign, with inspiration from Stella Artois' limited-edition Chalices. (The sale of one chalice helps Water.org provide 5 years of clean water for a woman and her family in the developing world.)

So what does the chalice have to do with Maria's Oscars dress? The design of Maria's dress will be inspired by the chalice.

"The chalices, they are really like etchings or, like, white prints. What's nice is that they have a lot of radial lines so I can curve the bust and the hip areas and that really helps (with the dress design); they are really beautiful," explained Christian.

While she's waiting until the big day to reveal the dress, Maria is equally as excited about her chalice-inspired gown. "It's been a dream collaborating with Christian; he's trying to get me out of my comfort zone and to try something new," hinted Maria. The host has her final fitting in a few days, but she completely trusts Christian to create something magical. "We were both on the same page about what we wanted to do and how we wanted to do it—so I'm excited," chimed Maria.

The rest of us won't actually get to see the finished dress until Maria hits the red carpet on Oscars Sunday, but to peek at the chalice that inspired the whole thing, click here.

Additionally, Maria's dress will be auctioned off after the show with the proceeds also benefiting the "Buy A Lady A Drink" program where proceeds go to Water.org.

Now, what could be better than that? Nothing.
