Arguably one of the most adorable couples in White House history, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama don't shy away from showing each other a little adoration—even if all of America is watching.

Between fawning over each other on rally stages to holding each other's hand through the most challenging political moments, POTUS and FLOTUS have personified the modern turn of phrase, #relationshipgoals.

Unfortunately, these moments of candid bliss are numbered. With a little less than a year left in his second presidential term, Barack and Michelle will soon return to civilian life for some greatly coveted privacy and, according to the First Lady, some good 'ol trips to Target.

In the spirit of the recent Valentine's Day, let's take a walk down memory lane and revisit all the times the Obama's made sparks fly.

It was 2009 and the president had just been elected for the first time. As a night of dancing away at Washington, D.C.'s finest balls loomed, Barack and Michelle cozied up in a freight elevator before making their grand entrance at the Inaugural Neighborhood Ball.

Before they could enjoy an iconic serenade by Beyonce to the tune of "At Last," the lovebirds relished in an adorable moment together when the President offered his tuxedo jacket to his wife. it was the perfect accessory to go with that now legendary cream floral appliqué gown by Jason Wu.

Fast forward six years later and this twosome is still looking out for each other's wardrobes. While waiting to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Madame Peng Liyuan ahead of a state dinner in September, Michelle took a moment to straighten her husband's tie.

Even the most powerful man in America can use an extra hand.

Even when all eyes are seemingly on Michelle, she's thinking of her man. Mr. President was feeling a bit left out during a Black History Month reception at the White House this week after he noticed an uneven amount of love from the crowd toward his significant other.

"We know it is Black History Month when you hear somebody say, 'Heyyyy, Michelle! Giiiirrrrrlllll you look so good!'" he joked in front of the attendees.

Never one to make her husband feel left out, Michelle chimed in with a subtle, but sweet compliment.

"He's alright, you look good too, baby." Nicholas Sparks is transcribing this for his next book as we speak.

Though their work often separates them on personal milestones—this Valentine's Day for example—this twosome seems to always find a way to let the other know they're thinking of them, even if that means going on national television to deliver the message.

During a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Michelle surprised Ellen's guest with a sweet video note to celebrate the holiday. Unbeknownst to the mom of two, Barack came prepared with a hysterical tribute of his own—complete with roses and Barry White.

How's that for a public display of affection?

While they've certainly evolved past the fateful day they married in 1992, it seems no amount of change can break this bond.

"You know the journey that we've taken together, the fun we've had, the challenges we faced, the two beautiful girls that we've raised," Michelle once told DeGeneres regarding their lasting relationship. "I kind of give him a pass now when he leaves his socks on the floor or tells that story for the 100th time and wants us to laugh at it like as if we've first heard it."

It's clear no matter what comes, these two will be by each other's side—with fists ready to bump.
