Blake Lively got it from her mama.

The actress invited her mother, Elaine Lively, to sit with her in the front row at Michael Kors' runway show Wednesday during New York Fashion Week. "I gotta take a picture with my mama afterwards!" Blake told E! News just moments before the models showcased the label's Fall 2016 collection. And, of course, both Lively women were decked out in Michael Kors' finest. "Nude, lace, bejeweled, beautiful floral patterns— I mean, come on!" Blake said. "It's elegant. It's chic. You can wear it in the morning. Most people might not, but I always overdress."

Blake has been a longtime fan of Michael Kors' designs, wearing them on red carpets around the world. "He just radiates happiness and sunshine," she said. "Fashion can be very serious and Michael takes his craft very seriously, but he's happy, and you see that expression in his work."

Where was Blake's daughter, James Reynolds, amid the NYFW madness? "Oh, crap! Oh gosh! I'm so glad you mentioned that," she joked. "She's in my clutch." Blake's husband, Ryan Reynolds, wasn't on daddy duty either, as he's busy promoting Deadpool right now. "He's a working man. She's very well loved and cared for," Blake said. "Boy! That child..."

It's been a big week for her family, as Ryan's movie debuted at No. 1 and earned $284.5 million worldwide. "We had a very happy Valentine's Day thanks to Deadpool. We've been high-fiving and go carting, and we're so happy. He worked so hard for so long. It's so nice to see people loving it so much," the actress said. "I'm about to see it for the third time. I'm the No. 1 fan!"

Blake added that they celebrated Valentine's Day with her "whole family."

"My mom was there," she said. "We had a nice celebration."

Celebrating each other's professional accomplishments is important, but Blake said her favorite aspect of motherhood is "sharing it with my mama." In fact, she told E! News, "I really appreciate my mom more than I ever have, but don't tell her, 'cause I don't want her to get a big head!"
