The 2016 Grammys just got so real, y'all. You know like all of our parents and grandparents are losing it after that performance. Demi LovatoJohn Legend, Luke BryanMeghan Trainor and Tyrese got together for one heck of a throwback performance honoring Lionel Richie. We secretly love it when artists from different musical paths come together to slay it like this. The group was brought together by the Recording Academy, for the purpose of connecting big name artists across musical genres.

Well done, BB's! This creative combo of terrific talent put on quite the show. In the event you missed it, here's how some of it went down. John started us off on the piano with The Commodores hit "Easy" as Lionel jammed out in the audience. Then, Demi came down from the gates of heaven and unleashed some of Lionel's "Hello" on us all. Luke and Meg hit us with their goodness and then Tyrese tied it all together with "Brick House." Are we on a disco-themed cruise ship or what!? So kind of into it, though.

As if that wasn't enough, Lionel himself hopped on stage to perform his throwback hit "All Night Long (All Night)." We love Taylor Swift and her pals, but these guys might take the award for best squad of 2016, amiright? Don't even front like you wouldn't want to see them hanging out at the mall together. One thing that would have made this performance even cooler? Adele for sure should have popped on stage with Demi for a little "Hello" action, amiright!? Although, Demi literally needed zero assistance slaying that track. Holy hell, lady!

What was your favorite part of the tribute performance? Tell us in the comments!
