Does a new casting notice mean our favorite TV bachelor is getting hitched?

America's most eligible bachelor may be getting hitched—and soon!

But settle down, fangirls. Even though John Krasinski was just spotted on what appeared to be a date to the movies with rumored girlfriend Emily Blunt, implying that he may well be off the market, the wedding we're talking about is on TV, on that awesome little show called The Office.

After a rocky start, Jim and Pam are happily engaged. Jim bought a house for her and everything is going beautifully. So the next step has to be a wedding, right? Well, happily, there's a new piece of casting that makes me think Pam and Jim might be getting married sooner than we think...

Yesterday, The Office posted a casting notice for a character coyly described as "Pam's Relative."

This character is described as being "a nice man" in his early 50s. He's a middle-class guy from Scranton, Penn., and he "could be similar in stature to 'Roy' (David Denman)." Roy, of course, was Pam's first fiancé, and we've all heard the old saw about women gravitating toward men who remind them of their fathers...

I have a very strong suspicion that this "relative" is actually "Pam's dad." And what do you need a dad for? To be walkin' you down the aisle, that's what!

In the premiere, Jim did imply a swift move to the altar when he said, "Pam's always said she doesn't want a long engagement. Something in her past I guess. No really sure of the whole story but something about a guy who used to work here..."

Wedding rumors! I'm starting them now! What do you think? Wishful thinking in this holiday season of joy and wishes? Or time to hit Crate & Barrel for a wedding present? Post in the comments, where you can also join me for a group hug over the apparent end to Krasinski's single status...
