OK, we're officially over this damn Phoenix Stone.

Post-hell is proving to be much worse for Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and fans of The Vampire Diaries, especially after Friday's episode of the CW hit, "Postcards From the Edge," which found the brooding Salvatore brother spiraling even further out of control. We guess that's what happens when you start hanging out with Julian (Todd Lasance) at his vampire fight clubs. Warning, spoilers ahead!

While Damon and Elena (Nina Dobrev) fans were dealt a pretty devastating blow in last week's episode, with Damon burning Elena's body and all, Damon drove the stake in the Delena fanbase's collective heart even further when he hooked up with someone else. Yep, it finally happened, and we were NOT happy about it. At least we can all take solace in knowing it was some random shot girl (who actually asks questions like "You like tequila?")at the supernatural fight club and he did seem to struggle a bit before going in for the kiss?

Damon's downward spiral continued throughout the episode, leading to him almost dying at Julian's hand (or heart-grab?) before confessing to Stefan (Paul Wesley) he "killed" Elena (blaming Henry), trying to push his younger brother away. And it worked, as Stefan hit him, walked away and then realized all of this is Julian's fault. "I want him dead," he said.

And he finally made it happen as Stefan killed their late mother's former love, staking him with a little magical help from Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore). To Julian's death we all say: FINALLY. (Come, we were all thinking it.)

Elsewhere in the episode, Caroline (Candice King) was experiencing the worst pregnancy side effects ever: no, not her unwavering craving for french fries; the twins are siphoning her vampire magic, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) finally got the legendary vampire hunter Rayna (Leslie-Anne Huff) to reveal her true self and in the flash-forward, it was revealed that Rayna is the one who has Damon tied up.

Uh-oh.

The Vampire Diaries air Fridays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
