Everyone who's anyone has been seen, at least once, in a Cushnie et Ochs design. No, really. Google it.
Overnight successes are incredibly rare in the fashion industry, but this pair defied all odds. Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs met while studying at Parsons School of Design in New York, and the rest is pretty much history. They've created a line that perfectly depicts a new kind of modern woman—one who has her own identity and isn't afraid to put herself out there.
Stars like Jenna Dewan Tatum, Taylor Schilling, Eva Longoria and Nathalie Emmanuel have all, recently, donned their laser-cut designs on the red carpet. (You can thank their clean, sharp and artfully minimal tailoring for that.) The brand is sexy but powerful, edgy but timeless and each perfectly fitted, colorful dress has something to offer the body it's on. Not to mention, they've mastered the art of cutouts.

Hit the Ground Running: After putting on their first show in 2011 (only two years after launching), the duo was immediately nominated for the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund award, which fast-tracked them to becoming the It label they are today.
First Lady-Approved: That's right, Michelle Obama wore a dress of theirs to a holiday party in December of 2011. That's a BIG deal.
Gold Medal Style: Ochs won Designer of the Year in her final year at Parsons School of Design (the last recipient of that award was Proenza Schouler).

They're a Celeb Favorite: Everyone from Reese Witherspoon to Beyoncé to Kim Kardashian has been spotted wearing them.
Like a Boss: After only four years of being a brand, Cushnie was put on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for being a boss.
