Least exciting Gilmore Girls news yet?

E! News has learned that Vanessa Marano, who played everybody's least favorite character, April Nardini, is officially signed on for Netflix's revival, so…yay? Variety first reported the news.

We're super excited for Vanessa Marano. That's really great for her, and we guess we're excited to see if April has grown up to be a nice young woman, just like Marano actually is in real life. We just would have been OK completely forgetting that Luke's obnoxious daughter had ever existed in the first place.

April first came into our lives in season six when she surprised Luke (Scott Patterson) with a DNA test that revealed him to be her long lost dad. It was a shock to Luke, and to all of us, and she just never really grew on us.

Eventually, April moved to New Mexico with her mom, and only revisited Stars Hollow a couple of times after Luke got custody of her for holidays. Hopefully, we'll only see her pop up for a second or two, unless she's miraculously become a lot less irritating in her 20s. That does happen with people. We were also horrible when we were 12, so maybe we'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

Marano told E! News back in October that she understands everyone's complaints about her Gilmore character—and she feels them too.

"That poor, poor 12-year-old fictional character was hated, which I get," the Switched at Birth star told us ahead of her Freeform show's latest season finale. "I kind of hated April Nardini, too, as a fan of the show. She broke up Luke and Lorelai!"

At the time, she didn't know whether the character would be back for the four-part revival, but she was hoping to be asked back just because she loves the show so much.  "I really hope they're bringing my character back because I'm such a fan of the Gilmore Girls that...I just want to be able to nerd out more," she said.

Marano joins Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Paterson, Keiko Agena, Yanic Truesdale, Liza Weil, Danny Strong, and all three of Rory's ex-boyfriends, Jared Padalecki, Milo Ventimiglia and Matt Czuchry, in returning for the Netflix series.
