Ciara already dished the deets on her leading man Russell Wilson, but there's one other very important guy in her life that she couldn't help but gush over.

The singer proudly spoke about motherhood and her baby boy Future Zahir Wilburn when E! News' Catt Sadler caught up with the star at the Keds Centennial Celebration in New York City last night, and explained how having a child really puts certain things into perspective.

"There's something about having a child and knowing that you're responsible for someone else that gives you an extra pep in your step and also defines the reason of why you do what you do. Not only because I love it, but  I also have someone to take care of. My son is my world, he means everything to me. He's came in my life and brought me something that I've never felt before, he brought me a love I could never imagine and I just feel responsible for that," she says of her 18-month-old.

"I feel responsible for this young, innocent child that's full of all this love and life. Which I think he can grow up to be whatever he wants to, I want to encourage that. So, because of that, I work hard to be a great example to him that if you believe in yourself, if you go after what you believe in, you make it happen."

Unfortunately, Future Jr., whose father is rapper Future, wasn't partying with his mama last night because, ya know, nap time and such.

"My son was actually was in soundcheck earlier, but I try to keep his sleep time close to  when we're on the west coast so his nap time is probably ending right now, and then i'll come home and see him after. He was on the mike for the first time in his life today, he would not let the mic go. I don't know what that means. He loves the stage," she told E! News.

Ciara was named one of the new faces of the famous footwear brand, along with singer Tori Kelly and actress Allison Williams, for the Keds Collective, something that the celeb really holds close to her heart for various reasons.

"I remember being a young, little girl buying these shoes—these are the only shoes I could afford—and they've just been such a classic shoe, classic brand, an iconic brand. So when they asked me, I was like absolutely," she explained.

"I'll be honest, what's even more exciting and what really drew me into it is the message for ladies. It's about ladies first. It's a brand that represents encouraging and inspiring women to do all the things that they dream of—you can be an entrepreneur, you can be a hard-working mom, you can go out there and do great things if you believe in yourself. And that's what I love. Especially being a mom now, I connect to these types of things way deeper. And I understand and respect the strength behind a woman who gets up every day and has to feed her kid, and go to work and grind hard. "
