Models adore him, reality stars love him (looking at you, Kim K!) and he's got a CFDA award that proves the fashion elite like him too. He's basically the Taylor Swift of the fashion world. Even if you don't particularly like his aesthetic, you can respect his game.

There are so many things you need to know about Jonathan Simkhai. Over the past three years, the designer's tastefully racy designs have graced the covers of magazines, walked many red carpets and wrapped themselves around a massive celebrity following. He's all about dressing the modern, cosmopolitan woman who isn't standard model-size, yet wants to look like she stepped off the runway. Somewhere in between sexy and sporty are his designs, and they're not going anywhere—in case you couldn't tell.

Below are all the things you should know about him before his NYFW show on Monday.

Getting Started: His uncle and dad started a wholesale clothing manufacturing business—that's where Jonathan first designed. To no surprise, his collections lived on to be the best sellers, even after he was gone.

And the Award Goes to: Last November Jonathan won the 2015 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award where he took home $300,000 and a year's worth of mentoring by major designers and industry execs.

Being a Boss Runs in the Family: His brother, Joel Simkhai, is the founder of the dating app Grindr. Yes, way.

Cool clients: Sarah Hyland, Taylor Swift, Amanda Seyfried and Jamie Chung all love the designer (and that's obviously only naming a few).

Fun Fact: Early in his career while working in Hong Kong, he got a call from a customer who said someone had bought a dress of his and had worn it to Drew Barrymore's engagement party…only to arrive and realize Drew was wearing the same dress.
