You know what they say: Once a member of the BAU, always a member of the BAU.

Emily Prentiss is making a comeback on Criminal Minds this spring, E! News has learned. CBS announced the exciting news about star Paget Brewster's return to her old stomping grounds on Wednesday, tweeting, "Emily Prentiss is back! Paget Brewster returns for one episode of Criminal Minds to air later this Spring."

It may only be a one-time gig, but for fans of Brewster—currently starring on Fox's Grandfathered—it's sure to be a delight.

Brewster's history with the CBS procedural has certainly been an interesting one. Added to the cast in season two, she quickly became a fan favorite, leading to uproar when she and fellow female co-star (of which there aren't many on the show) A.J. Cook were released from their contracts in season six as a cost-cutting measure. She and Cook were quickly rehired and kept on for the following season. As the end of season seven, she announced she was leaving the show to pursue work in TV comedy. She was last seen on the series in season nine, making a special appearance in the show's 200th episode.

Aside from Grandfathered, Brewster also starred in the finale, Yahoo! Screen season of Community, as well as Comedy Central's Another Period.
