Welcome to the joys of motherhood, Rose Byrne!
Longtime boyfriend Bobby Cannavale had a major announcement to make Friday night when appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. As it turns out, his special lady welcomed a baby boy earlier in the week.
"I had a baby on Monday, yes," the actor shared on the show. "You know, I didn't do anything. We [men] don't do anything and I'm so tired. I think I've gained 28 pounds since Monday. I mean, I'm not kidding you. Like, this jacket fit so well, like, last Thursday. But I've been eating so much."
He later admitted that the baby's name is Rocco and he "is doing great."
When Stephen asked if the newborn was named after Saint Rocco, Bobby shared, "Actually, yeah, patron saint of the sick...pretty sure. Could be wrong. I'm tired."
While the couple tried to keep most of their pregnancy journey private, they stepped out together in November where a baby bump was on full-display.
"Rose says she feels really well," an insider shared with us when the actress was heading into her third trimester. "The baby moves all the time. They're both very, very excited."
Rose and Bobby reportedly started dating back in 2012. Since then, they've been able to work together on projects including Annie, Adult Beginners and Spy.
There also was the special moment when Bobby called his leading lady the "love of my life" when accepting his award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at the 2013 Emmys. Awww!
Congratulations to the couple on their exciting family news!
