Jessie J is by all accounts a very successful artist, but she's attained a lot more success in the United States than she has in her native U.K.

"It makes me sad," the 27-year-old singer tells Women's Health U.K in an exclusive interview. The mag notes that she's "previously only received two British Female Solo Artist Brit Award nominations and has never been asked to perform at the ceremony."

Yet in the States? "I've done the Grammys, the VMAs," says Jessie. "My profile in America is that I'm kind of celebrated as one of the greatest singers and I love it."

But a lack of accolades on one side of the pond vs. the other won't get her down.  "I wanna be up there with the Celine Dions, the Whitneys, the Beyoncés and Arethas," Jessie J tells Women's Health U.K. "I go hard because I hope and pray that one day, people look back and go, 'She could really f--king sing, you know.' Which is why I keep going."

She isn't only looking ahead in her professional life, though: She has some personal goals, too. "I talk about my children every day even though they don't exist," she says. "It sounds really weird, but I do. I put into the universe that I love them...who knows when it's going to happen?"

Fair point. For Jessie J's full interview, pick up the March 2016 issue of Women's Health U.K. on stands Feb. 9.
