Justin Bieber has a new family member—a brand new puppy! The Biebs introduced Philip, nickname Phil, to his fans on Instagram Thursday night, and we can't get enough. Little Phil is a black lab and looks to get along just fine with Justin's other dog, Esther.
The "Love Yourself" crooner shared a series of photos on Instagram of his new four-legged friend and even posted a cute video of Esther and Phil interacting. Hanging out on the couch, Esther looked down at Phil who wanted to get up but is too young to do so on his own. Fortunately it looks like these two will get along just fine.
Even though all eyes were on Phil for the evening, Justin made sure to give Esther some extra love so she wouldn't feel excluded. Scratching her behind the ears, Justin captioned the pic, "Can't make Esther too jealous."
Phil's addition comes a little more than a year after Justin's dog, Sammy, died. He didn't reveal what happened to Sammy, but he did tweet, "#RIPSammy," and shared a throwback photo of him with Sammy from years before. The old picture showed Justin when he was much younger, wearing a blue T-shirt and matching hat, flashing a huge smile as he held his then newly adopted brown-and-white Papillion puppy.
He wrote alongside the photo, "R.i.p Sammy. You were the best puppy ever."
The "Baby" singer even mentioned Sammy in a commercial promoting pet adoption. "We moved to a city where we didn't really know anybody, so I kinda wanted a friend around and Sam was kinda like that friend," Bieber said in the 2009 Peta2 commercial.
Although he'll always remember Sammy, it's great to see Justin happy and excited about Phil. Congratulations on the new addition, Justin!
