Will Robert Pattinson be joining Johnny Depp's band of buccaneers in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean installment?

An unsourced rumor claims the Twilight highlight might be in line to join the franchise, but we will remain properly skeptical until somebody connected with the Pirates film confirms it. Or we go see the movie and he's actually in it.
