Colony has been renewed by USA for a 13-episode second season, the network announced on Thursday. The series, starring Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies as Will and Katie Bowman, premiered on January 14 and tells the story of a family struggling to stay together while the human race is under occupation by an alien force only known as the Hosts.
Created by Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Ryan Condal (Hercules), Colony has averaged 3.4 million live+3 day viewers in its first few weeks. "Carlton and Ryan have successfully delivered a story that tests the strengths and weaknesses of a society in duress, and the bonds of a family divided," USA Network president Chris McCumber said in a statement. "Colony's performance across all platforms has been impressive, and we can't wait to see where the story takes us."
