Finally—after two years in the making, the Milk team and I are finally launching Milk Makeup

The line is made by girls who get it, for girls who get it. It's empowering and fun—and now almost available to the masses. So who else would perform at our '90s-inspired rager than the most badass women we know? Yes, I'm talking about Leikeli47, Santigold and Salt-n-Pepa, hanging out with 1,000 of our closest friends. Did I forget to mention the party was hosted by the gorgeous Zoe Kravitz?

A lot goes into such a decadent night, but get the insider's guide, with a by-the-hour breakdown of our celebratory shenanigans.

But before I dive in, here's a VIP code—VIBES888—so you can shop the line before it opens to the public.

6:30 p.m.: Milk girls get ready

I need to get ready...and quick. It's a good test of our products designed for speedy transformations and ease of use. I swipe on Milk Makeup Shadow Liner in "Working Girl" with Eye Vinyl in "Tunnel" over the top and lashings of Ubame Mascara for a molten rock-n-roll eye.

7 p.m.: #MILKGIRLS

Pre-rager, we host a private dinner in the Penthouse at Milk. These are two of the brilliant brains behind it, my partners, Georgie Greveille and Dianna Ruth. We pinch ourselves that this day is here and may or may not have done a quick tequila shot. I'm wearing a geometric cutout Rag & Bone dress, while Georgie goes for a mesh cutout piece from Cushnie et Ochs, and Dianna gets decked out in vintage.

8 p.m.: Family

Dinner guests trickle in surprisingly early for fashion folks. Designer friends like Keren Craig, Pamela Love, Mara Hoffman, Misha Nonoo, Suno's Max and Erin Beatty. Models Ashley Smith, Jac Jablonski, Andreja Peijic, Chloe NorgaardHari Nef, love birds Jaden Smith and Sarah Snyder and many other regular Milk fixtures, who we call family. It is heart-warming to be able to celebrate an occasion like this surrounded by such amazing friends. It doesn't hurt that they are all so good looking either!

9 p.m.: '90s neon

The décor was retro glam, inspired by '90s Indochine. The 80-foot-long, mirrored table was decadently laden in fresh pomegranates, slabs of Brie cheese and oysters for guests to lean in and snack on. No plates. The food kept rolling: lobster, cheese, striped bass, milk chocolate truffles dusted with Pop Rocks dust and washed down with gallons of bubbly!

10 p.m.: Let's talk about sex

After dinner wrapped, Rassi (co-founder of Milk, Milk Makeup and, full disclosure, my husband) and I go say hi to Salt-n-Pepa in their studio/green room downstairs. With the queen of the deck herself, Spinderella! I die over their sequin-monogrammed boots.

Then down to the Milk Gallery for the '90s rager! Leikeli47 kills it followed by a crowd-elating Santigold!

11 p.m.: Zoe Kravitz

Zoe and Sam Urbani (a face of Milk Makeup) arrive and fight their way through the swarms of guests who are wrapped around the block. Zoe wears a sexy Alexander Wang slip dress. Sam in a perfectly on theme in a Moschino green blazer.

Midnight: Whatta Man

Salt-n-Pepa's here! The girls tear the house down with "Whatta Man" and "Talk About Sex." They grab some boys up on stage (including Rassi) to join them for a very liberating rendition of the song. The room rocks.

1 a.m.: Underground

Underneath Milk is the infamous Jam Room, possibly the last underground jam room in NYC. Legends have played here like Patti Smith, Gary Clarke Jr., A$AP Rocky, even Zoe Kravitz and her band Lola Wolf. The Milk Makeup crew finally gets to kick back with an off-duty PBR. Well, we are Milk girls.

2 a.m.: Oops…I'm still here!

8 a.m: Like every good #MilkGirl I sleep in my eye makeup. It didn't budge one bit!
