Like daughter, like mother.

Jessica Simpson is no amateur when it comes to the camera—whether she's roller skating in a music video or shooting a campaign for a new collection of workout wear, the mom of two is a natural in front of the lens.

Still, even after decades in the public eye, a little advice from fresh eyes never hurts. For Jessica, her best adviser may just be her 3-year-old mini-me daughter, Maxwell Drew Johnson

The blond-haired toddler seemed to know best as she instructed her mother on how to pose in a selfie Sunday night.

"Be cool and kiss the camera mom," her mother quoted her in a captioned photo on Instagram.

Well, Maxwell clearly has a handle on "being cool."

Simpson turned her sights through the lens of the camera, getting shutter-happy with an artistic shot of her second child, Ace Knute Johnson, 2, planting a kiss on the forehead of his cousin, 6-month-old Jagger Snow Ross. Jagger is the daughter of Jessica's sister, Ashlee Simpson, and brother-in-law Evan Ross

In another candid photograph, Jessica captured her look-alike son while he poked his head out while hiding inside an oversized vase.

"Mom and Dad will never know" #WHENABEAUTIFULSONHIDES #ACEKNUTE," she wrote on her social media account.

Next, little Ace grew tired of sitting still and adventured to the beach where his mom caught him picturesquely strutting in the sand.

"Ace always finds his way somewhere happy," Jessica described

Sand and sunshine—who wouldn't be filled with glee?
