Frank Underwood's 2016 is starting off right.

House of Cards' Kevin Spacey won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series at the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Saturday, his second win in the category for his work as the Netflix series' anti-hero. Spacey beat out Game of ThronesPeter Dinklage, Mad Men's Jon Hamm, Mr. Robot's Rami Malek, and Better Call Saul's Bob Odenkirk to take home the award.

But it was a bittersweet moment for Spacey, who used his time on stage to thank and say goodbye to exiting showrunner, Beau Willimon, who created the acclaimed drama.

"I would like to first thank our creator—no, not that one, the one grounded here on Earth," he joked, before continuing, "Beau...you have been an extraordinary collaborator, a remarkable challenge, I've loved every single time that we have tousled, fought and argued these four seasons."

He then continued, "We will do our best to honor what you have started with House of Cards. We wish you the very, very best."

While House of Cards' fourth season premieres on March 4, Netflix announced that it was picking the show up for a fifth season. But with that good news came the less-than-great news that Willimon was exiting.  "I'm grateful to Netflix and MRC, my fellow executive producers, our two incandescent stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, our talented writers, as well as the incredible cast and crew with whom I've had the privilege to work," the creator said in a statement. "After five years and four seasons, it's time for me to move on to new endeavors, but I'm supremely proud of what we've built together, wish the show much continued success, and leave it in the hands of a very capable team."

After thanking Willimon, Spacey thanked the HOC cast, including onscreen wife Robin Wright and Michael Kelly, calling them "an extraordinary group of actors."

House of Cards' fourth season premieres on Netflix on March 4.
