Zayn Malik might not be pals with his old bandmates, but he does have some nice things to say about their offspring.

Malik, who just released his first solo song, "Pillowtalk," and a sexy music video to boot, told London radio show Capital Breakfast that he first saw Louis Tomlinson's baby on social media, similar to the rest of the world. "Obviously I wish [Tomlinson] the best of luck," Malik said. "His kid is cute as f--k so obviously I favorited it."

He continued, "We're not talking on friend terms obviously, so that's as far as I can go, by favoriting his picture."

Welcome to 2016, everyone. You might not be friends in real life, but at least you can show some love by a simple double tap of the fingers. Malik has been very open about his departure since he left the band, saying he "never really wanted to be" in One Direction, but it was his public Twitter feuds with Tomlinson that made Directioners realize it might not have been such an easy split.

The feud began when music producer Naughty Boy tweeted an artsy-looking picture of himself with Malik in the studio. Tomlinson saw the pic on Twitter and threw them both some jabs. "Remember when you were 12 and you used to think those Mac filters for your pictures were cool haha! Some people still do HA!" he tweeted.

"@Louis_Tomlinson and some people can't even sing...but who's complaining when there's auto tune eh," Naughty Boy replied shortly after.

"@NaughtyBoyMusic Jesus forgot you were such an in demand producer..." Tomlinson replied. "How does it feel to be riding on the back of someone else's career?"

The feud had managed to stay between Tomlinson and Naughty Boy until Malik piped in with his two cents. "@Louis_Tomlinson remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine?" Malik replied.

Zing!

Nearly a year has gone by since Malik announced his split and rest of the foursome announced their hiatus, so maybe the guys are getting a long a little better now. Who knows—maybe a simple double tap on the picture of Tomlinson's baby, Freddie.
