Al Roker has been weathering some bad luck lately.

The Today show weather anchor recently lost his wallet and like The Avengers star Mark Ruffalo, turned to Twitter for help. He received several replies, none of which offered any hope, and one, posted by Late Late Show host James Corden, stuck out in particular.

"I was in a cab yesterday on the West Side, and I don't know if I dropped it in the cab or outside of the cab, but I don't have my credit card. So I tweeted, 'Ugh. Lost my wallet in a yellow cab this afternoon on the west side. Bummer,'" Roker said on the Today show Wednesday. "Well, James Corden, our friend at The Late Late Show, said, 'I just found @alroker 's wallet in a cab in NYC. I'll sell it to the highest bidder.'"

"I don't think he really has it," Roker added.

He also said he canceled his credit cards after he waited a bit to see if anyone would turn in his wallet.

Ruffalo recently tweeted he had lost a "cell phone in a wallet case out on the streets of NYC in a blizzard," adding, "My drivers license is in there. Reward and signed pic." Thanks to the help of Twitter users, they were found within minutes. Ruffalo had also recovered a lost wallet in 2014 by reaching out to his followers.

"I thought I'd do a Ruffalo," Roker said.
