The cast of Friends made some new friends Sunday night.

Twelve years after their NBC sitcom ended its 10-season run, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer reunited in honor of James Burrows for an upcoming NBC special honoring the acclaimed director. Kaley Cuoco, star of CBS' The Big Bang Theory, joined her co-stars Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg and Jim Parsons at the Friends cast's table to take a picture. "Ummmm NIGHT MADE," the 30-year-old actress wrote in the Instagram caption. "Can't breathe #friends meets #bbt @bigbangtheory_cbs I died and went to heaven."

The only Friends actor missing from the big night was Matthew Perry, who is currently starring in the play The End of Longing in the U.K. "Matthew may tape something for the tribute," his rep said in a statement. "In other words, this is not the reunion people have been hoping for."

Sad but true. "I wish I could say it was going to be a reunion," Schwimmer, 49, told E! News' Kristin Dos Santos while promoting his upcoming FX series, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, during the 2016 TCA Winter Press Tour in mid-January. "[It's a] 5/6 reunion."

Schwimmer added that while he was "sad" Perry couldn't participate in the special, he understood why his friend couldn't make it work. "It's going to be a good time," he said. "We're all going to be there honoring someone we love very much, Jimmy Burrows, the great director."

Fans will take what they can get, of course.

Must See TV: A Tribute to James Burrows airs Sunday, Feb. 21, at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.

"There is nobody with better TV comedy instincts than Jimmy Burrows, and because of his guiding hand these remarkable shows will be forever celebrated and stand the test of time," Paul Telegdy, president of alternative programming for NBC, said. "The caliber of talent joining us to celebrate Jimmy's accomplishments is a testament to his imprint in television history."

Cheers' Ted Danson, Shelley Long, Bebe Neuwirth, Rhea Perlman, John Ratzenberger and George Wendt also attended the taping, while Kirstie Alley and Woody Harrelson appeared in pre-taped segments. Frasier's Kelsey Grammer appeared in a pre-taped segment, though his co-stars Peri Gilpin, Jane Leeves and David Hyde Pierce turned up in person. Other reunited casts include Mike & Molly's Billy Gardell, Melissa McCarthy, Katy Mixon, Nyambi Nyambi and Reno Wilson; Taxi's Tony Danza, Danny DeVito, Marilu Henner, Judd Hirsch, Carol Kane and Christopher Lloyd; Two and a Half Men's Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen; and Will & Grace's Sean Hayes, Eric McCormack, Debra Messing and Megan Mullally. The cast of NBC's new series, CrowdedCarlease Burke, Stacy Keach, Carrie Preston, Mia Serafino and Patrick Warburton—also came out, as Burrows hit the 1,000 mark when he directed an episode of the show in 2015.

(E! and NBC are both members of the NBCUniversal family.)
