Selena Gomez soared to a whole new level of sexy with her music video for "Hands to Myself," flaunting her hot body in just a bra and underwear, getting undressed for a scene in a bath tub and—let's not forget—rolling around in bed with  the excruciatingly good-looking Chrisopher Mason.

But sexiness aside, there was more that went into the idea for making the video and the meaning behind it.

Working with director Alek Keshishian—who she says is a "very dear, family friend"—SelGo takes us behind the scenes of the video and how she wanted to convey the fantasy of love that girls tend to build in their heads and end up obsessing over (uh, guilty).

"I wanted the idea of this video to be two different versions of being in this fantasy," she explains. "I think everyone can have those moments where they're dreaming of what their life could be, especially girls with love. Being obsessed with the idea, and you can't control yourself. That's what you want no matter what's happening."

She adds, "You get to see these images of what people think love is. It's theatrical, it's movie-like. And all of that you end up seeing ends up being a false reality on both ends. That's what I wanted it to feel like."

Thus, the video portrays SelGo as a woman obsessed with a Hollywood actor (Mason), playing out a movie-like love in her mind that's simply not real life. "Ultimately you realize that one of the versions of myself is a little psychotic," Gomez giggles.

As for the song itself, the singer says she really wanted to bring it to life as it's one of her favorite songs on the album and the type of music she hopes to continue putting out.

"It's got this funk to it that really created this whole sound that I feel like could knock me into the future of my music, to be honest," she reveals. "So it's exciting to see it come to life."
