Amy Poehler's run as a Not Ready for Prime Time Player is played out.

After a brief two-week return from maternity leave, she made her final appearance on Saturday Night Live (at least until she has a movie to plug).

"This is my last show," she said at the end of Saturday's "Weekend Update."

"Being able to do over 140 shows with my friends and my family has been a dream come true.

"I just wanted to say good-bye. I love you," she told viewers, "and I will miss all of you very much."

Poehler announced earlier this year that she would quit SNL after giving birth (she and Will Arnett welcomed son Archie on Oct. 25) to focus her attention on a new NBC sitcom from the brain trust behind The Office. That show is expected to debut in 2009.
