1. Medium: According to Oprah, "a medium uses his or her psychic or intuitive abilities to see past, present and future events of a person by tuning into the spirit energy surrounding that person." Basically, the 20-year-old prodigy uses his client's energy to obtain information from the people or objects they have personal relationships with. It's important to note that not all psychics are mediums, but a medium is always a psychic.

2. Clairvoyant: Clairvoyance is defined by the Merriam Webster Dictionary as the ability "to see beyond the range of ordinary perception." The word literally means "clear-sighted" in French. A clairvoyant possesses "an ability to communicate with dead people, to predict future events or to know about things that you did not actually see happen or hear about." To sum it up, Tyler sees images and it is his responsibility to interpret these images to relay a message to his client.

3. Medical Intuitive: Finally, a medical intuitive has the innate ability to describe the cause of a physical or emotional condition through the perception or feeling of another's energy, according to Martha Stewart. While performing a reading, Tyler can often physically sense the prior medical conditions of the spirits he is attempting to communicate with.
