My friends went completely above and beyond to make me feel like the most special soon-to-be-bride on the planet at my "Fall in Love" themed party. Honestly, I've never felt more loved in my life. It was a wedding shower for the ages.

Most of my bridesmaids and closest friends live back home in Jefferson City, Missouri. So, we decided to squeeze both my wedding shower and bachelorette party on the same day (during my trip home for Thanksgiving). It ended up being one of the most fun nights of my life! The shower was basically the kickoff party for the bachelorette party, which I will tell you more about in my next blog.

It was all the tiny details that blew me away. My friends left no stone unturned to create this beautiful party. I mean, I knew they were good, but not this good.

I was greeted with a glass of sangria when I walked in—great way to set the tone for the night. Drinks were served in these specially made mini stemless wine glasses ordered just for the party. From hand-painted pumpkins to personalized "S & C" letters, I can't imagine how many hours my friends dedicated into making this shower such a wonderful night. It may have caused a little teary-eye action too.

Now, let's acknowledge the adorable table setup. Place cards tied to little gold pumpkins? Genius. Cream-colored pumpkins as flower vases? Amazing. Back in Missouri, food is always a very important aspect of any party, and my friends know how to please a crowd. They ordered pastas and salads from one of the best restaurants in our hometown.

And how about that cake on the "sweets" bar? It was my first time ever trying a "naked" cake, which is when the cake doesn't have the other layer of icing. Trust me, we weren't missing any buttercream with that cake. It was still just as moist and delicious without the added frosting. The mini pumpkin pies were perfect for the Thanksgiving weekend! And, my mom brought her famous homemade ooey gooey butter cake bars (a Missouri dessert staple you have to try if you haven't yet—think a compressed creme brulee brownie).

Beyond all the pretty, intricate eye-candy, the night's mood and atmosphere was an absolute blast! We shared a ton of laughs, while eating, drinking and playing games (and I'm a serious gamer). They did a celebrity couples quiz, and I, the E! News correspondent, did not win. #EMBARRASSING.

Plus, I was thoroughly spoiled with thoughtful gifts...new pots, kitchen utensils, towels, even a new vacuum and so much more! (Yes, these are very exciting presents at this stage in my life.) I just about have everything I need to be a kick-ass domesticated wife! Ha!

My wedding shower was truly a showering of love, all the way around. It was a beautiful night that I will never forget.

Then, after the party...came the after party...bachelorette party post is coming soon!
