What does one get the Royal family?
That seems like a loaded question, because hello! What could you possibly give Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton and the adorable Prince George and Princess Charlotte that they either don't already have or couldn't just get themselves with a snap of their fingers?
It's stressful just thinking about it, but many have gifted the royals something to show their admiration and well wishes as they traveled around the globe over the last year, and you'd be surprised at some of the things on the list.
Granted, most of the tokens of appreciation and respect were for the toddlers, because let's be real, that's a much easier task to tackle.
The palace revealed that when it came to the tiny tots, George and Charlotte were given all sorts of fun things, including two giant lollipops, a pair of booties and a wooden rattle, along with an organic wool hat, a vest and blanket for Charlotte, a woolen poncho and tank top and a ceramic money box.
But that's not all, of course. While in China, Wills was given a toy telephone, packet of cards, paper flower, toy aeroplane and packet of postcards for the kids.
Don't worry, the adults weren't left out, but their gifts were a little more, um, interesting?
While in New Zealand, Harry was given three soft toy penguins, a quilt, bib and a snowsuit, and also a shopping bag of various items that included a packet of McVitie's Jaffa Cakes and a jar of Marmite to a "bag of pineapple lumps", while another well wisher presented him with a box of Weetabix cereal and some chocolates.
When visiting Germany, the Queen was presented with a model of the Brandenburg Gate, one of Berlin's most important monuments, made out of—wait for it—marzipan.
But the award for wackiest gift goes to Prince Charles, who gifted with a packet of fairy dust while in New Zealand.
Well, it definitely stands out.
