Hilary Duff took to social media to share the terrible news that her beloved pet pooch, Frenchie Beau the bulldog, had suddenly passed away.
And while the Younger actress was still way too emotional to post any photos of her with her four-legged best friend, she was able to write a heartfelt message to her adoring fans about her dog.
"It's really true that we never know what the day will bring us. I am shattered in a million pieces today because my baby Frenchie Beau has gone to doggy heaven this afternoon," she began by saying.
"I'm sure I will post way too many pictures of him this week but as of now I can't ever bear to look at a photo of his little face that melted me every time. I can't fathom never holding his heaving little head in my hands with his two big eyes looking at me again."
Duff concluded with one final, positive reminder to all of her adoring fans: " Remember every day to be grateful for what we have that makes our hearts happy and full. My naughty boy I will miss you so. Heart. Broken."
