While there were tons of incredible ensembles on the red carpet at the Golden Globes this year, we have to remember that with the good, there's always bound to be some bad…and unfortunately for some stars, tonight just wasn't their night to shine.

Both Rooney Mara and Amanda Peet opted for nude, lace Alexander McQueen dresses that just didn't do them any justice in the fashion department. While we can totally appreciate a daring look, Mara's dress appeared a bit messy and tattered rather than high-fashion.

Maggie Gyllenhaal, on the other hand, chose a loud sequined, floral black and gold gown reminiscent of the Flapper era. However, her bright pink lipstick with the large accessory on the shoulder is a bit too much for her overall look.

Speaking of over-the-top, we are disappointed to say Jane Fonda made it on our Worst Dressed list this year with the boisterous top to her gown. Whether you think it resembles a cupcake or a clam shell, it just doesn't work.

Finally, Regina King's gold, sequined Krikor Jabotian gown is already loud enough, but with the addition of the cape, it took the look to another level of, well, yikes.
