Lamar Odom remains on the road to recovery and was recently spotted and photographed in public for the first time since he left a Los Angeles hospital following months of treatment.
The 36-year-old former basketball player was hospitalized in October in Las Vegas after suffering a drug overdose at a Nevada brothel. He was later transferred to a medical center in Los Angeles. E! News recently learned he was moved into a private rehabilitation facility on Wednesday.
On Friday, he was photographed riding in a vehicle in Los Angeles. Through the windshield, his full face was seen, sporting a serious expression. It is unclear where he was headed and the driver could not be identified.

The photos marked the clearest images of Odom in public since his hospitalization. Khloe Kardashian, 31, had flown to Las Vegas to be with him after hearing about his overdose and accompanied him on his transfer to Los Angeles, during which he was photographed being wheeled on a gurney, while wearing a hoodie that covered his eyes.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has helped care for him throughout his recovery.
"I'm just there to support and care for him," she told reporters at a 2016 Television Critics Association Press Tour event about her upcoming talk show, Kocktails with Khloe.
"But he's doing amazing and I'm so proud of the strength that he has to fight this battle that's his battle," she said. "I'm so grateful for everybody's love and concern because I do think it's coming from a good place."
When Odom was hospitalized in Las Vegas, Khloe arranged for his father, Joe, his ex-wife, Liza Morales, and their two children, Destiny Odom and Lamar Odom Jr., to fly to the city see him. A source told E! News that kids spent Christmas with their father. Odom's son posted at the time a selfie on Instagram that showed his dad. It is unclear where or when the photo was taken.
"Christmas with my pops," he wrote. "Here's to 2016. Blessed."
