Kanye West, New Music, Real Friends

Kanye West

Well it started off as a good Friday…

Kanye West continued with the second week of his "G.O.O.D. Fridays" initiative ahead of the upcoming release of his seventh solo album Swish today, but things didn't exactly turn out as he'd hoped.

The rapper shared his newest song "Real Friends" to his SoundCloud account around 10:30 a.m., but almost immediately deleted the track after claiming there was a "slight distortion" in the loop, admitting to being disappointed with the sound quality.

He took to Twitter to apologize to fans:

Luckily, our day isn't ruined just yet. The Kanye-approved version of the track—which was produced by 'Ye and features Ty Dolla $ign—is now available on his website. Along with it, he also released a snippet of this third song, "No More Parties in LA" with Kendrick Lamar.

But our favorite part of the whole thing? The fact that, despite the minor blunder, he still wished all his fans a good weekend.

"G.O.O.D. Fridays" was an initiative the rapper started in 2010 ahead of the release of Dark Twisted Fantasy, dropping one song every Friday at the end of each working week. He revived the campaign for Swish last week, with the release of "Facts" on New Year's Eve.

With lyrics that read, "Yeezy Yeezy Yeezy just jumped over jumpman," many people thought it was a diss track aimed at Drake. However, it turns out it's more of a slam on Nike.

"If Nike ain't have Drizzy, man they would have nothin/ If Nike ain't have Don C., man they would have nothin," he raps. "Yeezy Yeezy Yeezy they line up for days/ Nike out here bad they can't give shit away...Nike, Nike treat employees just like slaves/ Gave LeBron a billi' not to run away."

We can only wonder if Nike will come back with a diss track of their own…

Stay tuned next Friday for more Yeezy music (and hopefully no problems). And if you can't wait until then, more good news arrived later in the day! Yeezus announced that he'll be dropping his album on Feb. 11, 2016.
