Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King have a common milestone to celebrate following this recent holiday season.

Both 61-year-old besties lost weight, with the help of Weight Watchers, of which Winfrey is a part owner. Like many people, they had tended to put on a few pounds over November and December in years past.

"So I'm enjoying a great 7-point lunch but [I'm] so excited because today was my Weight Watchers weigh-in and for the first time in the history of my adult life, since I was like 23, 24, I did not gain a pound during the holidays—and usually, I gain eight to 10 [pounds] from Thanksgiving to New Year's," Winfrey said in a Facebook video posted on Thursday.

"Not only did I not gain a pound, I lost three," she added. "Three pounds. During the holidays. Smart Points. Smart Points. Come join me."

The talk show queen is believed to be 5'6" and has often talked about her struggles with her weight, which has fluctuated over decades.

Earlier this week, she shared a photo of her hiking in a vegetable farm in Hawaii with King and her daughter Kirby Bumpus and Selma director Ava DuVernay.

King, who is 5'10", has lost as least 20 pounds since September. She posted on her Instagram page on Friday a photo of a scale showing 164.4 pounds.

"This has NEVER happened before," she wrote. "I weigh LESS after vacation! Doing the hula & bowing to the altar of @weightwatchers!"

King said in September she planned to start a Weight Watchers diet, posting a photo of a scale showing 184.5 pounds. She lost four pounds in one week.

In November, she revealed she was down to 170. Less than a month later, she was at 167.5. Days after Christmas, King said she "fell off the Weight Watchers wagon" but had gotten back on track.
