A very happy birthday today to our favorite royal Capricorn.

Kate Middleton is turning 34—and as we tend to let her do with fashion and lifestyle choices, decorum and poise, we'll let her set the tone for us as far as mode of celebration goes too.

Luckily, Kate's got the music in her, so we're expecting a pretty bumpin' celebration!

While the Duchess of Cambridge has provided the hoi polloi with plenty of reasons to adore her over the years, from her way with hats to that whole remaking-the-monarchy thing, one of the biggest weapons in her considerable charm arsenal has always been her candid moments, the times when her facial expressions and she's-just-a-regular-girl-turned-royal appeal have won the day.

And not least because of her dancing.

If only those palace walls could talk, but news cameras have collected enough footage of Prince George and Princess Charlotte's mum rocking out—whether she's trying out a traditional dance during a royal tour with Prince William or dancing to the beat of her own drum—to make for an impressive performance reel.

And what better way to honor the Duchess of Cambridge on her special day than to dance along with her?! So without further adieu, let's get this party started.

Can we get a little bass...

Thanks, Kate! All right, maybe we get our shoulders into it now...

Jab it out...

Sometimes you've just to to get down!

(In the Victorian era, which happens to be named after one of Will's great-great-great-great-grandmothers, a curtsy was modeled on a plié in ballet, so it's totally a dance step.)

And if you put it all together:

Perhaps the overall fascination with Kate busting a move sprang from her and William's trip to the island of Tuvalu during their 2014 tour of Australia and New Zealand.

Here she is starting to get into a traditional dance...

That's the spirit...

Yasss, now bring it home!

And then it occurred to us that she's always dancing!

Even royals do a happy dance when the home team scores...

And even more so when they score!

Kate has inspired a whole country to get up and dance...

Even Kate wants to dance with Kate!

Wishing the duchess the happiest of birthdays as she continues to glide, bump and crunk to the music of life—may 34 be her best and bounciest year yet!
