The countdown for the return to Westeros is on.

HBO has finally divulged just when Game of Thrones will returning for season six, bringing with it the answer to Jon Snow's fate (we hope!). Without further ado, the date you'll need to add to your calendar stat is Sunday, April 24 at 9 p.m.

And GoT isn't returning all on its lonesome, although it certainly is en event on its own. No, we have the added pleasure of welcoming season three of Silicon Valley right after at 10 p.m. and season five of Veep at 10:30 p.m.

Since season five of GoT wrapped last June, fans have agonized over whether their hero Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was truly dead or not. He looked pretty darn dead in those final moments, HBO did their darndest to convince us the character was kaput, and then they put him front and center in all their promo materials for this upcoming season. Cruel? Maybe. Expert way to create anticipation? Definitely.

As we mark the days until April 24, let us all keep GoT star Natalie Dormer's words of hope in mind. "We're getting closer and closer," she recently told E! News' Erin Lim. "We're months away now, as opposed to half a year when the questions started being asked, so the end's in sight. April, guys. Hold on, just hold on."

Just hold on, indeed.
