In case you missed it, on Wednesday, Brandi claimed she asked LeAnn Rimes to stop posting photos of her and Eddie's two children—Mason, 12, and Jake, 8—on social media during the holidays as it "hurt her feelings." However, she said LeAnn totally refused and claimed it was "her family, too."
In defense of his wife, Eddie told People magazine in a statement that was reiterated to E! News: "Brandi is lying. She lies for the sake of publicity and she has to bring in my wife unfortunately for it to make headlines. It isn't fair. She never asked LeAnn to not post pictures of the kids during the holidays, ever. They don't even talk!"
After explaining that Brandi was able to see their children on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, he called her comments "disheartening" knowing their sons are able to get on the Internet and read the negative statements she's making.
"It's unfortunate. She won't [leave us alone]," Eddie added. "One day, I hope it all goes away, because it's been long enough."
Brandi quickly took to Twitter to slam her ex-husband for his comments. "Sad that my ex has to go to the press &call me a liar when HIS LIES broke up our family," she wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted. "He knows I cud just share our emails& be vindicated."
In the midst of bashing Eddie, however, she also managed to make amends with LeAnn…sort of.
"1last note," she added, "What mom wouldn't want HER kids full time?They have been with me since birth.Im glad they have Leann to support them cuz u cant."
She has since deleted both tweets, and instead left her followers with a note of positivity: "I deleted a couple tweets I really don't want to start this new year feuding with my baby daddy let's stay positive (me included)."
Perhaps 2016 is the year this former couple finally moves forward!
