Wouldn't it have been crazy if Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky were together in real life?

Back in the pre-Full House days, John Stamos and Lori Loughlin might have had a chance at an actual, off-screen romance. Looking back now, though, the Fuller House co-stars can't seem to agree on whether they ever actually went on a real date or not.

Loughlin, who has now been married to Mossimo Giannulli for 18 years, tells People that back when she and Stamos were teenagers, "He asked me to go Disneyland to see a band."

Whether this was an official date or a just friends kinda thing, though? "We fight about that internally," she tells the mag with a laugh. "I'm like, 'Was that a date?' He's like, 'Yeah!'"

"As I recall, we ended up kissing," Stamos, who is currently single, tells People. "That sounds like a date, right?"

We're going to have to agree with Uncle Jesse on this one. But if Loughlin, now 51, and Stamos, now 52, ever did have a shot at a real life romance, it was long before they moved in with the Tanners (Full House premiered in 1987). Loughlin married Michael R. Burns in 1989, and per People, Stamos was already with Rebecca Romijn when Loughlin and her first husband divorced in  (Stamos and Romijn were later married from 1998 to 2005). By 1997, however, Loughlin was remarried to Mossimo, with whom she now has two daughters.

Timing is everything.

Fuller House debuts Feb. 26 on Netflix.
