The 28-year-old MMA and UFC star may or may not appear in the 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition, wearing nothing but body paint, made to look like a one-piece swimsuit. A woman bearing wrist tattoos identical to Rousey's appears in an uncensored teaser photo posted on the magazine and editor MJ Day's Instagram pages this week.
Rousey has not commented. She had appeared in the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition, wearing racy swimsuits, and had also posed naked for ESPN the Magazine's 2012 Body Issue.
This would mark her first sexy magazine shoot since losing UFC 193 and the Women's Bantamweight championship title to Holly Holm in November.
Meanwhile, the Sports Illustrated website is certainly having fun keeping us guessing.
"Thanks to a few inconspicuous tattoos, it looks like our next body-painted beauty may be the one and only Ronda Rousey," it states. "We can neither confirm nor deny these rumors, but isn't the idea of Ronda donning nothing but paint enough to tide you over until the issue comes out in February?"
