Craig Strickland's band, Backroad Anthem, is paying tribute to their lead singer after the 29-year-old was found dead earlier today following a hunting trip.

The group posted the following message to fans around the globe on Facebook: "Today we lost our brother, our best friend, our bandmate. Craig was the most amazing person whose passion for life couldn't be matched. Thankful to know he fought his way from the water to a hill and was lying in the shape of a cross on his back looking up to his Heavenly Father."

The band included a bible verse as well as a few final words thanking their followers for all of their kind wishes and prayers.

"We pray today for God to wrap his arms around Randy, Joanne, Helen, and the family, and to help us through this extremely difficult time. We want to thank every single friend, fan, and family member for your thoughts, prayers and love."

The bandmates concluded, "Today he is smiling down on us and we know he will always be with us. He will always be here to help guide us along the way. We love you Craig Strickland and we will forever miss you!"

Meanwhile, funeral service details were made public for Strickland's friend, Chase Morland, who also tragically lost his life on the duck-hunting trip.

Family and friends can gather at Butterfield Assembly Church in Van Buren, Ark., this coming Wednesday at 2 p.m. local time.

Helen Strickland posted a touching video Instagram earlier today showing the late singer before the two got married.

"I am so thankful for technology in this moment because I will always have this," she wrote. "I watched this privately prior to walking down the aisle, and so now I want to share this small excerpt with all of you."

Our thoughts go out to the Strickland and Morland families during this time.
