Another day, another lawsuit between a celebrity and the paparazzi.

Chris Martin is being sued by photographer Richard Terry for allegedly hitting the paparazzo while he was leaving the Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica, Calif., in January.

In the documents obtained by E! News, Terry claims Martin purposefully turned the wheel of his Jeep to hit the photog as he was standing on the sidewalk trying to capture photos of the singer with his ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, who was also in the car.

Terry also claims in his lawsuit—which was filed on Monday—that Martin "has a significant history of repeated and ongoing violent acts" against the paparazzi and believes the musician's actions were "intentional, malicious and oppressive" and meant to "hurt, injure, embarrass and otherwise harm" the photog.

After claiming to have suffered "permanent and serious injuries" to both the body and mind, Terry is asking for Martin to pay for his medical bills, property damage, costs for the suit and a sum in excess of the minimum jurisdiction of the court.

Martin has yet to respond.

Of course this is just one of many instances in which a member of the paparazzi has sued a celebrity. From Kanye West to Justin Bieber, Rob Kardashian and even Adele's 3-year-old son, Angelo, celebs and paps have an incredibly long history of legal battles.
