Scott Weiland may be gone but he continues to live on through his music.

His former Stone Temple Pilots band mates—Dean and Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz—opened up in a tribute video for Weiland, letting fans see how they're choosing to remember and honor the talented singer.

In a tribute video they've titled "Memories of Candles and Incense," the three musicians get together and re-listen to "Atlanta" from their No. 4 record, concluding that it's one of the best songs that encompasses the late singer.

"We wanted to honor Scott, and we thought the best way to do that would be musically," Robert explains. "We chose this song because we feel it represents one of the times in our career that Scott as truly at his best. When you hear this track, we hope to share in the same feeling and spirit each of us had while recording it. The four of us, in a room, capturing a moment in time on tape. So enjoy this song and the depth of this brilliant performance from Scott."

He adds, "It brought back a lot of great memories of the person who added so much to these songs. This music lives on and we'll always remember Scott this way."

Meanwhile, Weiland passed away on Dec. 3 from an accidental drug overdose. Shortly after, Dean, Robert and Eric took to Facebook to pen an open letter to him:

"Dear Scott, Let us start by saying thank you for sharing your life with us," the STP rockers said in a statement on the band's Facebook page the following day. "Together we crafted a legacy of music that has given so many people happiness and great memories. The memories are many, and they run deep for us."

"We know amidst the good and the bad you struggled, time and time again," they said. "It's what made you who you were. You were gifted beyond words, Scott. Part of that gift was part of your curse. With deep sorrow for you and your family, we are saddened to see you go. All of our love and respect. We will miss you brother, Robert, Eric, Dean."
