Kristin Cavallari and her family experienced true heartbreak when her brother Michael Cavallari was found dead last week after being reported missing three days before.

The search for Michael began just days after Kristin and husband Jay Cutler welcomed daughter Saylor James Cutler. The former Hills star, also mom to s 3-year-old Camden Jack Cutler and 1-year-old Jaxon Wyatt Cutler, was adjusting to her new life as a mother of three while simultaneously agonizing over all the unknowns then surrounding her brother. Taking care of a newborn during such a stressful time for the family couldn't have been easy, but as Kristin revealed in a heartfelt Instagram post Monday, having Saylor was a true blessing for her.

The 28-year-old designer shared a  picture of "My little angel, Saylor" dressed in cozy pink pajamas and tiny gray socks. "She has been my light throughout this whole thing and has given me so much strength," wrote Kristin. "Thank you baby girl for coming when u did..."

Saylor's arrival helped her mom see a bright positive during a devastating time, but Kristin and her family are still grieving their tremendous loss. She Instagrammed a childhood photo with Michael Friday, writing, "My heart is in a million pieces. Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh."

"You had such a good heart and will be forever missed," she continued. "I'm at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP"

While there was some speculation over whether Kristin's brother committed suicide, officials told E! News last week that Michael most likely died from prolonged exposure to the elements.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Kristin and the Cavallari family during this time.
