Dick Van Dyke's 90th birthday weekend is just Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
On Saturday, the actor first headed to the outdoor Los Angeles shopping mall The Grove, where he watched a Mary Poppins-themed flash mob with his wife, Arlene Silver-Van Dyke, 44, and took part in a sing-along. On Sunday, he was honored at—where else?—Disneyland.
Van Dyke, who played Bert and Mr. Dawes Sr. in the beloved 1964 Disney musical film, watched the flash mob performance from an upper level of the mall and cheered loudly.
The participants showcased their best chimney sweep dance moves to the movie's song "Step in Time" and also danced to "Jolly Holiday," "Chim Chim Cher-ee" and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."
"Unbelievable!" he said, as seen in a YouTube video he shared on Twitter. "Oh my God! Great!"
The performance was choreographed by Dena Spellman and Jenna Spellman.
Van Dyke later joined the crowd to sing another song from Mary Poppins, "Let's Go Fly a Kite." They also sang "Happy Birthday" to him.
"I am very grateful that at 90 years old, I can still go out and play!!" the actor tweeted.
His wife and several participants, as well as photographer Nicola Buck (follow her on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook), posted photos and videos from the celebration.
Van Dyke's birthday celebration continued in Disneyland on Sunday. He was honored at a dedication ceremony, was serenaded again with "Let's Go Fly a Kite," got to showcase his musical skills again by singing "Jolly Holiday" and even received his very own birthday cupcake.
