He's back, Amer'ca!
Will Ferrell returned to NBC's Saturday Night Live on Saturday to reprise the role of one of his best characters, former President George W. Bush. During the show's cold open skit, he announced his candidacy for the 2016 Republican primary and offered his take on his "messed up" group of competitors...including frontrunner Donald Trump.
"This is an important day," he said. "I've made a big decision. I'm entering the race for president of the United States of America."
"Bush" then unveiled his campaign song, which was a huge hit for The Fugees...whose name he pronounced incorrectly.
He then critiqued some of his competition.
He said he likes Carly Fiorina because she's "got guts" and is "not qualified in any way to be president."
"In many ways, she reminds me of me," he said.
He also offered his take on brother Jeb Bush's candidacy.
"Poor Jeb," he said. "You gotta admit, it's a pretty good plot twist that I turned out to be the smart one."
But it was "knucklehead" Trump who made "Bush" just completely lose it.
"I'll tell you something, whenever I get in a bad mood, I just picture his big, fat, orange Oompa Loompa face and I just pissed my pants," he said.
"Bush" also said he likes the Mexican people, who are his "amigos."
Ferrell, a former SNL cast member, portrayed Bush regularly on the show in the late 00s and last reprised his role when he guest hosted the series in 2012.
Chris Hemsworth hosted Saturday's episode, while the musical guest was Chance the Rapper, who performed "Somewhere In Paradise" with Jeremih and "Sunday Candy" with Jamila Woods.
