She may not be allowed to get back in the ring yet, but Ronda Rousey can still go the dance!

The 28-year-old MMA fighter kept her promise and accompanied 22-year-old U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert to his Marine Corps Ball in South Carolina on Friday, following his viral Facebook video request in August.

Rousey, who is reeling from her loss of the UFC Women's Bantamweight championship title to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in mid-November, appears in an Instagram photo posted on Friday smiling and looking lovely in what appears to be a draped black gown with a plunging neckline while standing next to her date.

"T hank you Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert for taking me to the Marine Corps Ball, being such a gentleman, and putting a smile on my face again," she wrote.

"Ronda wanted to honor her commitment, she wanted to go," a source told E! News earlier in the day. "She'll be wearing a floor-length gown."

The source also said Rousey was headed to the ball with a friend and that she and her date planned to meet up beforehand.

"YES JARROD YES! I hope you had a blast, I know you worked so hard & your service means everything to us," one of Haschert's friends wrote on his Facebook page on Saturday. "You're accomplished so much in your life already, just keep going bud."

Other Marine Corps Ball attendees and their family members also shared pics of Rousey, who posed for selfies with many people.

Rousey was hospitalized and put on a medical suspension after she lost the fight, which was touted as the biggest UFC upset in history. She told ESPN the magazine, "It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact."

She and Holm are set to face off in a rematch this summer.
