HuffPost LiveTia Mowry is not pregnant.
Rumors have been swirling about the Sister, Sister alum's body, with people often speculating that she's expecting. But the 37-year-old actress dispelled the rumors on HuffPost Live and let the world know that she was offended by the hearsay.
"I am not pregnant, I am just happy. I've gained these extra 10 [or] 15 pounds because of my cooking show," she explained. "I'm just enjoying life, and when I want to drop the pounds, I will, but right now I'm happy with who I am."
She continued, "But it is a form of body shaming, I will say that, and it's pretty unfortunate...We live in a society that is so obsessed with being perfect...why can't we just be us?"
Mowry has addressed those who have criticized her body before, often turning to Instagram to call them out. The comments have been going on for a while, as the cooking show host shared a photo four months ago of a pregnancy test that read "just fat" instead of "pregnant."
"FYI. For all the people that think I'm pregnant. I'm NOT just enjoying life and eating and cooking some great food!" she captioned the pic. "Thanks:) again I repeat I AM NOT PREGNANT!"
While talking to HuffPost Live, Mowry said the obsession with body image "needs to stop" and added everyone should try to build each other up instead of knocking people down.
"We need to be more supportive with body images, especially with women, showing that all sizes are beautiful," Mowry added. "And I'm talking about in magazines, advertisement in regard to what's sexy and what's not sexy. We all need to be a little more supportive of each other. I think if we start there, we'll see a difference."
When she reads the hurtful comments left on her social media, Mowry revealed that she wants to ask each and everyone of them, "Is that how you love yourself or someone else?"
