We expected more from you, Channing Tatum.

Ahead of the release of Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight, the director and some of the cast stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday to talk about the leaked script and make a joke or two about Tarantino's style of filming and his scripts. But Tatum, who appears in the Pulp Fiction director's newest film, couldn't make it to the taping so he decided to appear in a pre-taped segment in which he says the meanest things to a...kitten.

He kicks it off with a bang to say the least. "You're such a piece of s--t," Tatum told the adorable kitten.

And we thought you were a nice guy, Tatum!

His hateful comments—there are eight, appropriately—only got meaner from there on out. "Hey, kitten, you smell like garbage and fish, bro," he continued.

The hunky Magic Mike star proceeded to make even more profane comments to his four-legged enemy, but wrapped them up with an astute observation. "You know what sucks about you, dude? You don't have thumbs," Tatum noted. "That sucks for you. I got thumbs. They're right where my middle fingers are."

Meanwhile, host Jimmy Kimmel found himself a new toy: a Magic 8 Ball. But it's not your average, run-of-the-mill fortuneteller. Instead, he got a hold of a Hateful Eight-inspired toy AKA a "Quentin Tarantino-style spin."

When Kimmel asked the ball whether he and sidekick Guillermo would be friends forever, Samuel L. Jackson appeared in the ball and said, "Fo sho. You best believe that, mother f--ker."

Watch to find out what other words of wisdom Jackson offered Kimmel.
