Watch: Why Harrison Ford Thinks "Star Wars" Is So Successful

Hype for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is hitting warp speed as its Dec. 18 release date rapidly approaches. Much of the J.J. Abrams-helmed film's details have been under tight wraps, but E! News' Will Marfuggi used his powers of the Force to score scoop from stars Harrison FordDaisy Ridley and John Boyega.

Ford, who first graced the screen as Han Solo in the 1977 original Star Wars film, is back for his fourth rendition of the story.

"I was excited to be a part of it again. This film has been successful for a reason," says the Academy Award-nominated actor tells E! News. "The reason they've been successful is because there is something worthy about the experience the characters have and its useful sort of tribal knowledge."

"I don't really talk about auditions anyway, because I feel a jinxy thing, so that was OK," newcomer Ridley says about keeping quiet about her audition. "But getting the role, there was three months where I couldn't tell anyone except my family."

"My dad's was like, 'Jesus Christ,' and my mom and sister were like 'What?!'" jokes the 23-year-old London native.

"My family isn't a big fan of the whole thing, so it's quite nice because they're just happy that their child is happy and working," she notes. "It's nice that I don't have that pressure of trying to live this dream that they felt a part of."

Family pressure or not, the rest of the world has its eyes on Ridley, and the budding star shared the dating advice she got from co-star Carrie Fisher.

"She said, 'Be careful who you're dating with, because you don't want to give anyone the pleasure of saying 'I slept with Princess Leia.'"

"The first day on set, all I was doing was walking through the desert. That was it," confesses Boyega. "But Daisy, however, who plays Rey, she was doing a lot more than me. I was just behind the camera, like 'Daisy, good job! Be in touch.' We had a great time."

The slow start surprised Boyega, who was expecting to fly spacecrafts or fight Jedis on set. "I was like, 'J.J., c'mon man. What are we doing?'" jokes the 23-year-old.
