The holidays are here, y'all!

Reese Witherspoon helped President Barack Obama and the first family (and millions of people watching on the small screen) ring in the season by hosting the National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on the White House Ellipse on Thursday night.

The Oscar winner was joined on stage by Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, their daughters, Malia and Sasha, and Michelle's mother, Marian Robinson, for the annual event, and even lent her vocals for some Christmas carols with the family, and singer Aloe Blacc.

"Happy holidays to Reese and everyone here tonight and everyone watching at home," the president said before leading the crowd to a countdown that ultimately ended with the famous lighting of the tree.

The event also featured performances by David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash, Fall Out Boy, Andra Day, Scandal's Bellamy Young, Kelsea Ballerini, Tori Kelly, Trombone Shorty, the Joyous String Ensemble and the United States Coast Guard Band.

While Witherspoon's hosting was wonderful, there was a moment when it was in jeopardy. Miss Piggy was another guest of honor, however, she wasn't happy with just being a guest—she wanted Reese's emcee gig. Ultimately, she didn't get it, and settled with just reading the famous poem 'Twas the Night Before Christmas along with the First Lady.

"You look fabulous," Miss Piggy told FLOTUS. "Almost as fabulous as moi."

Of course.
