Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will forever be the two names you think of when you hear the term "Hollywood friendship."

The Saturday Night Live alumni have been BFFs for about 20 years, and their relationship continues to flourish both in and out of the spotlight. Whether they're promoting their new movie, Sisters, or hosting the Golden Globes together, this is a friendship that will definitely stand the test of time. But what's their secret?

"We don't see each other very often," Fey jokes in Glamour's January social media issue.

"That's right," Poehler adds. "It's like a good marriage. My mom always says it's very important to have people in your life who knew you when. The older you get, the more you treasure that idea of someone knowing your family and where you came from, and being around during these times and these times. Tina and I, we don't have any sisters. So we've rented them."

Having gone through career highs and lows together, both comediennes know each other's work inside and out, which is why when it comes to talking about their own accomplishments, they'd prefer to talk about each other's. Poehler gives Fey major kudos for transitioning from "captain" at SNL to creating her hit show, 30 Rock. Fey, on the other hand, still finds Poehler's Leslie Knope Parks and Recreation character inspiring, as well as Poehler's work with Smart Girls.

No matter what projects these two are working on, they always seem to have the support of the other—especially during their hosting gigs at the Golden Globes. "But honestly, the best part was getting to hang out together, building the show together," Poehler explains.

"...Sitting on Bono's lap," Fey chimes in.

Whether they're sitting on Bono's lap or cozying up to George Clooney, these two stars have pretty much seen and done it all. But in their new comedy, Sisters, they swap roles. This time, Fey plays the disheveled, immature character while Poehler takes on the role of the conservative and responsible one. Naturally, Fey's character gives her onscreen sister a sexy makeover.

"Of course women in their 40s can dress sexy," Poehler explains of their characters' risqué outfits. "And, you know, the term sexy is very subjective."

"Yeah, I do also think that by the time you are in your forties, what you want to wear and what you think is sexy is not always, like, for another person. It's what makes you feel good," Fey adds. "Sexy is all relative. As an SNL writer I have seen people who are famously sexy, women famous for being beautiful, come in as hosts. The male writers would be so excited; then a couple days in, they are over it."

"If you know you have 0.000 shot at the person, your body kind of shuts down," she continues, "and it's more about who you actually relate to."

For Fey, that's husband of nearly 15 years, Jeff Richmond. Now that their anniversary is approaching, Fey reveals what advice she'd give herself on her wedding day.

"I don't know, maybe for a second I would maybe say, like, 'Start having babies earlier so that you could have maybe had one more,' because I do like how they come out," she admits.

"But at the same time, that would have probably made it hard for me to do some things that I wanted to do in that time."
