The memory of this day holds a heavy place in many people's hearts.

Today marks the second anniversary of Paul Walker's sudden and tragic death, and some of his closest friends both on and off-screen have taken to social media to pay tribute to the fallen star who was taken from us way too soon.

Vin Diesel, who starred alongside Walker in the entire Fast & Furious franchise and has openly expressed his grieving throughout these past two years, pulled back a little more than we're used to today. Instead of his lengthy posts remembering his friend, Diesel kept it short and sweet.

Aside from posting a caption-less photo of the two together on Instagram with the words "brotherhood has no limits," Diesel wrote a brief message on Facebook, saying, "No matter where you are in this universe...You will always be, my brother."

Additionally, Tyrese Gibson, commemorated his "brother" with an Instagram post in his memory.

"It's still not easy...... 2 years ago today... We lost our brother..... Today I'm just gonna lay low and process..... Clarity through Prayers and perspective is what I always seek and pray for," Gibson captioned a photo of the pair posed together. "With a heavy heart I post this..... Please continue to pray for the Walker family and his real friends who was with him every single day.... They're some of the best and strongest people I know...... I know you're in heaven smiling and rooting for us all..... #RIH ( Rest in heaven)."

Jordana Brewster got some help from Ralph Waldo Emerson to help put her feelings into words, posting a photo of Walker on Instagram with the quote, "'The largest part of his power was latent. This is that which we call Character,-a reserved force which acts directly by presence, and without means.' -Ralph Waldo Emerson #paulwalkerforever"

"It's a tough time of year for the family. I can't speak for the rest of the family, but I know the brothers plan on spending the whole weekend in the ocean—Paul's love—but is actually a trend that runs in the family," Walker's sister-in-law, Felicia Walker, told E! News.

As for Paul's two brothers, Cody Walker and Caleb Walker, being close to the water is like being close to their beloved sibling.  "Cody and Caleb spend as much time as possible in the ocean—kayaking, spearfishing, surfing, free diving—you name it," Felicia told E! News. "I know it reminds them of Paul."

In addition to seaside activities and the Paul Walker Foundation, the family remains heavily committed to the natural disaster relief effort, Reach Out Worldwide, that was dear to Paul's heart up until the day he was killed.

"I think the family would want him to be remembered for what he was doing on the day he passed—spreading good will," Felicia told E! News. "Especially during this time of year—put good will out there, do good."
